Through being a member of HPD, I learned how to better understand and connect with my peers, giving back to our vibrant RU-N community.

Bio: Rafeya Rahman is an undergraduate student at Rutgers University – School of Public Affairs and Administration. As one of the student directors for Student Health Advocates (SHA) in Health Promotion Division, she aids her team in coming up with ways to bring awareness and support for student wellness towards stigmatized topics and social justice issues that exist on campus even today. About the Office: Health Promotion Division (HPD) is a life-changing experience for any college student! On our diverse campus, there are countless ways to improve inclusivity and wellbeing for all members of our community. HPD does just that by focusing on various issues that affect our peers, seeking to understand why they exist and taking action to minimize if not eradicate them. Through being a member of HPD, I learned how to better understand and connect with my peers, giving back to our vibrant Rutgers-Newark community.
