Looking for a supportive “ear”?
VPVA’s We Chat text-based Helpline can provide students with confidential and judgement-free care, and provide empathetic support and resources. Text the Helpline to be connected to a Peer Advocate, who is trained in crisis intervention, mental health issues, and handling disclosures of interpersonal violence. Peer Advocates support each student entirely via text, which preserves the student’s anonymity.
All Peer Advocates are RUN students, also bound by strict confidentiality standards. Students accessing the We Chat Helpline do not need to provide any personal information to receive support.
