Looking for Confidential, Anonymous Support?

VPVA’s text-based peer mental health support, The Helpline, can provide students with confidential, inclusive, and anonymous care, and provide empathetic support and resources.  Text the Helpline at 973-339-0734 to be connected to a Peer Advocate, who is trained in crisis intervention, mental health issues, and handling disclosures of interpersonal violence. Peer Advocates support each student entirely via text, which preserves the student’s anonymity. Any student can contact The Helpline, to discuss family conflicts, friendships, relationship struggles, to learn how to access resources for themselves or someone they know who has experienced IPV, or to simply have someone supportive to speak with.

All Peer Advocates are RUN students, also bound by strict confidentiality standards. Students accessing The Helpline do not need to provide any personal information to receive support.
