Through my involvement in The Office Of New Student and Family Programs while mentoring the students, I have been learning many new skills that provide me with a very good opportunity to grow as a human being and learn new life skills everyday, which I’m sure will be helpful in my coming future.
Bio: Tirtha Pandya is a Biology major with a Psychology minor at Rutgers University - Newark. Tirtha has been involved in various leadership activities on campus since her Freshman year. Her work as a Raider Rep and Peer Connector has been outstanding, as she has mentored and assisted many students on campus academically. As a member of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS), she mentors at the Big/Little Program. Furthermore, she is an E-Board member of the Indian Students Association (ISA), which organizes various Indian community events.
About the Office: From thinking of dropping out in my Freshman year to getting an opportunity to work with The Office Of New Student and Family Programs, it's a dream come true! Through my involvement in The Office Of New Student and Family Programs while mentoring the students, I have been learning many new skills that provide me with a very good opportunity to grow as a human being and learn new life skills everyday, which I’m sure will be helpful in my coming future. To all the students out there, I’d highly encourage everyone to engage in the services that the office has to offer.
