Bio: Francisca Pulgar Tapia is the first person in her family to serve in the military. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2013 and served as an Aviation Supply Management and Logistic Clerk. She was stationed in Cherry Point, North Carolina, and deployed for Operation Inherent Resolve in 2015. In the fall, she became the Program Coordinator for the Rutgers Student Veteran Organization, planning upcoming events to engage the Rutgers Student body with Rutgers Veterans. This forthcoming spring, she will continue to pursue a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
