Bio: My name is Harsh Patel, and I am a Master’s in Information Technology and Analytics, December 2020. Since I was admitted to the Rutgers Business School, the OISS has always helped me and makes a great effort to educate international students on how to maintain their legal status. Orientation programs and social events organized by the OISS are beneficial in learning and experiencing the student culture at Rutgers. The CPT/OPT information sessions they presented also gave me a clear idea about how to proceed with employment in the United States.
About the Office: We are the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISS) at Rutgers University-Newark. The OISS is the designated office to provide immigration advising and support services to the international community of students, scholars, and families. The OISS assists in matters related to maintaining your F or J visa status by ensuring your compliance with both SEVIS and federal law. We also address social and cultural issues and provide engaging programming throughout the academic year.
