Rutgers University's international health insurance program is a university-wide program administered through the Office of Student Insurance and the Center of Global Services located on the New Brunswick campus. International students and scholars do NOT need to be physically in New Brunswick to enroll in the program or request waiver out of the requirement.
Rutgers Newark international students and scholars are required to follow the same policies and procedures as stated on the insurance website of the Rutgers New Brunswick Center of Global Services.
Health Insurance Coverage at Rutgers
At Rutgers, it is required for all staff, students, faculty, and scholars (and their families)—including international students, faculty, scholars, and their families—to have at least a minimum level of health insurance coverage.
