Looking for Confidential, Anonymous Support?  

VPVA’s text-based support, The Helpline, can provide students with confidential, inclusive, and anonymous care. The Helpline is a space for student to receive empathetic support and trauma-informed resources. Text the Helpline at 973-339-0734 to be connected to a Peer Advocate who is trained in crisis intervention and handling disclosures of interpersonal violence.

Any student can contact the Helpline to discuss family conflicts, friendships, relationships struggles, to learn how to access resources for themselves or someone they know who has experienced IPV, or simply to have someone supportive to speak with.

All Peer Advocates are RU-N students who are bound by strict confidentiality standards. Students accessing the Helpline do no need to provide any personal information to receive support.
