About Making a Medical Appointment
When you call, please provide necessary information such as your best contact information, RUID number, student status (full-time or part-time), school or program, and health insurance coverage (student healthcare insurance enrolled or waived).
Appointments are based on specialty and availability. Be sure to schedule enough time for the kind of care (medical problem, health maintenance, gynecological exam, male exam, STD testing, immunization, follow-up care, counseling on travel, nutrition, smoking cessation) you need.
Call us 973-353-5231 or 973-353-5232 weekdays, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. A Health Technician will evaluate your needs, by phone and set up an appointment with an appropriate health provider; either by Telemedicine and/ or in-person appointments
For in-person appointments, due to COVID-19 risk, you will be screened before, and again at the time of your visit. Pre-conditions for being seen: Make an appointment first. A face mask is essential. Staff will supply one if necessary.
Our nurse answering line offers 24 hour service by calling 866-221-9674. A representative will obtain your history and provide best advice. Health service staff will follow up on the next working day.
